Your journey begins in the room Thinking the World, where you arrive and find your own point of entry. From there, Berlin Images introduces the exhibition’s key themes. You then continue through a series of thematic rooms exploring Revolution, Free Space, Boundaries, Entertainment, War, Fashion and Interconnection. These themes can be found in many major cities. Together, they reveal what makes Berlin unique.

Throughout the exhibition, you will hear from people with first-hand knowledge: people who live here, including experts, artists, initiatives and community organisations. They share their experiences, perspectives and expertise. In this way, BERLIN GLOBAL comes to life – inviting you to form your own view of Berlin and its place in the world.
