Support Associations

Many people support the Berlin Museum through their involvement. As members of four friends’ associations, they support our work and champion individual museum sites or areas of the collection. In this way, they maintain close ties with the Berlin Museum and help to keep Berlin’s history alive.

In addition to the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Berlin City Museum (Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Stadtmuseums Berlin e. V.), three further support associations are actively involved in our work. Their focus is shaped by the multifaceted history of the Berlin Museum. They commit themselves to specific museum buildings or individual areas of the collection.

The support associations back exhibitions and events. They promote activities for families and young people and enable the acquisition of new items for the Berlin Museum’s collections. Together, they thus help to preserve, research and showcase Berlin’s diverse history.
